Datsun redi-GO Launched In India, Prices Start At Rs. 2.38 Lakh

Japanese carmaker Datsun has launched its redi-GO hatchback in India. Prices for the new redi-GO start at Rs. 2.38 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).

Datsun had revealed the redi-Go to the world on April 14.

Datsun redi-GO Styling

The redi-GO hasn't changed much from the concept vehicle seen at the 2014 Auto Expo. It retains the angular headlamps which flank the trapezoidal grill housing the Datsun badge.

Under the grille sits a small air dam which is flanked by the LED Daytime Running Lights on either side.

Character lines run from the sides of the grille, under the headlamps and right across to the taillamps. Another set of character lines run from the lower portion of the front doors to the bottom of the taillamps. The two sets of lines combine to give the sides of the car a rather muscular look.

At the rear, the window sits at angle to the rest of the back while the taillamps look molded into the car.

The redi-GO is available in five different colour options — Lime, Ruby, Silver, White and Grey.

However, Datsun seems to have missed a trick with the interior of the car which looks rather boring. The plain interior is rather dull and lacks storage space. The presence of exposed metal on the doors doesn't really help things either.
