Datsun India Receives Over 150 Bookings For redi-GO In Mumbai
Datsun India unveiled its all-new redi-GO model on April 14, 2016. The redi-GO is expected to go on sale in the country sometime during May 2016. So far, there are no test or demo vehicles for customers to go ahead and drive and plan on booking the small car.
Dealerships in Mumbai have commenced pre-booking of the redi-GO. According to reports Datsun Mumbai outlets have registered 150 bookings even without customers seeing the vehicle in the flesh. Official booking for Datsun redi-GO is expected to open from May 1, 2016.
The redi-GO from Datsun is expected to have a starting price of Rs. 2.44 lakh ex-showroom. The smallest car from Datsun will also be their most affordable product in India. In all the Japanese-based manufacturer will have three exciting models for customers to choose from.
The Kwid by Renault and redi-GO by Datsun share a common CMF-A platform developed by Renault-Nissan Alliance. Both models have been developed with a particular cost in mind and to disrupt the segment leader Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Hyundai Eon.
Powering the redi-GO will be a 0.8-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. So far, Datsun India has not divulged the performance figures. The engine initially will be mated only to a 5-speed manual gearbox. We expect the small car to have an exceptional fuel mileage.
