Chevrolet Slashes Cruze Prices

Chevrolet India has slashed the prices of the facelifted 2016 Cruze sedan. The top of the variant, LTZ automatic is reduced by Rs. 86,000. The starting price of the entry level variant, LT, is Rs. 13.95 lakhs ex-showroom (Delhi), which is Rs. 73,000 less than when it was launched.

The company is looking to compete aggressively with its rivals like the Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen Jetta. The Cruze is Rs. 4.78 lakhs cheaper than the Octavia and Rs. 3.23 lakhs cheaper than the Jetta.

Chevrolet India is looking to provide better value for money and render its sales of the executive sedan. The revision of the prices comes close to the heels of its launch in January 2016 and is looking to gain momentum in the executive sedan segment

The facelifted Cruze sports an all-new front fascia, and rear gets a updated lip spoiler and new exhaust outlets. The car also gets new projector headlamps and LED DRL's (Daytime Running Lights).

As for the interiors, the company will provide a 7-inch MY-LINK touchscreen infotainment system, which is coupled with SmartRadio, Grace Note and SIRI EYE FREE compatibility. Also, the rear vision camera is enabled with MY-LINK.

As for the safety package, the facelifted Cruze gets dual front airbags and two side bags. ABS with electronic sensors, Passive Entry Passive Start, engine immobilizer, child seat provision, anti-theft alarm, and programmable auto door locks.
