Volkswagen Diesel Emissions Fix Rejected In The US
oi-Dennis
By Dennis
Californian environmental regulator, the California Air Resources Board has rejected Volkswagen's plan to fix the 2.0-litre diesel engine fitted with the emissions cheating software.
Californian authorities stated that the proposed fix from the German automaker was "incomplete, substantially deficient and falls far short of meeting the legal requirements." It also said the proposal could not be implemented soon enough.
VW have stated that it is in talks to find a solution, and said the rejection addresses the initial recall plans submitted to the US state of California in December.
