Jenson Button will be bidding farewell to the Formula One paddock at the 2016 Abu Dhabi GP. The British driver will be hanging his boots after sixteen years of active competition. Button along with Massa will be driving for the last time in a Formula One race machine.
Button began his Formula One career with Williams Racing back in 2000. Over the last sixteen years, Jenson has been a part of several teams. His sole Formula One Championship was won with Brawn GP during the 2009 season.
McLaren Honda will be utilising Jenson Button as a test/development driver. Button has an option to return to Formula One Championship during 2018 season. However, he is most likely to stay away and explore his other options in motorsport and other activities.
Stoffel Vandoorne will be replacing Jenson Button at McLaren-Honda. Vandoorne will drive alongside Fernando Alonso during Formula One 2017 Championship. Jenson Button will be aiming to finish his final race of 2016 on a high note, expect a special performance from the Brit.
Button is by far the most liked and admired individual in the Formula One paddock worldwide. Among the Champions of the modern era, he was the most entertaining and loved drivers. The F1 paddock, along with his fans will surely miss Jenson Button.
