Bosch Begins Phase One Of Expansion — Inaugurates Two New Buildings
German automotive parts manufacturer Bosch has started phase one of its expansion project in Bangalore. Bosch began revamping its building in Bangalore since 2014, and has made it into a technology and development centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Steffen Berns, the President of Bosch Group India said, "The two newly inaugurated buildings in Adugodi have state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and accommodate over 3,000 associates."
"Adugodi will house the majority of the local development, including R&D centres of Bosch, Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions and Bosch Home Appliances."
The new development centre that is spread across an area of 51,000 square feet, will involve engineering and R&D activities. Some of the key areas the team will work on are driver assistance and passive safety, active safety, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), and hardware development.
Peter Tyroller, the member of the board of management of the Bosch Group responsible for Asia Pacific said, For the second phase of expansion, we will further invest in the coming years to develop Bosch Adugodi into a state-of-the-art R&D facility."
