BMW Unveils i8 Mirrorless Concept At CES 2016
BMW has unveiled the i8 Mirrorless concept at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas.

The i8 Mirrorless concept sees the BMW i8 shed all of its rear view mirrors. Instead of the mirrors, cameras help the i8 mirrorless keep an eye out what's happening behind it. The exterior cameras are mounted on rather sleek aerodynamically optimized holders which are also used to house the turn indicators.
The interior mirror has been replaced by a display which merges the video feed from both the exterior cameras as well the camera mounted next to the rear windscreen.
Otherwise the i8 remains the same underneath, with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to electric motors to produce 357bhp and 570Nm of torque. The 0 – 100km/h sprint also remains the same at 4.4 seconds.
