BMW Award An All-New M2 Coupe To Their 2016 M Award Winner
Marc Marquez has won the BMW M Award for the fourth time in succession. For 2016 performance, BMW has awarded Marc Marquez with an all-new BMW M2 Coupe.
BWM M Award for 2016 has been presented to Marc Marquez of Repsol Honda. This is the Spaniard's fourth BMW M Award in succession, making him a sole record holder. Marquez was awarded an all-new BMW M2 Coupe at the end of 2016 Valencia GP.
The BMW M Award is presented to MotoGP riders that have set the fastest lap times over a season. Riders that have secured maximum pole positions during a particular MotoGP season stand a chance to win an all-new BMW M2 Coupe.
All-new M2 Coupe by BMW made its debut at the Detroit Motor Show during January 2016. The BMW M2 Coupe has performed the duty of safety car during MotoGP 2016 Championship. This was an excellent opportunity for BMW M2 Coupe to showcase its prowess on the track.
Powering the BMW M2 Coupe is a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder, TwinPower Turbo engine. This engine produces 364.76bhp, along with 465Nm of torque, and an additional 35Nm with the Overboost feature. BMW M2 Coupe can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and can attain a top speed of 250 km/h.
Previously, Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi have won the BMW M Award on three occasions. Lorenzo has managed to win the prestigious award two times. Hayden and Gibernau have won BMW M Award only once in their MotoGP career.
