BMW Celebrates 100 Years With Special Edition Hand-Finished 7 Series
German luxury carmaker BMW is celebrating 100 years with a limited edition 7 Series, called the BMW Individual 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS. The name is quite long, perhaps BMW wanted the the name to unmistakably speak for itself.
The BMW Individual 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS will be a limited production model and also hand built. The German carmaker will make only 100 units of the car.
To make the car even special, BMW has partnered with Montblanc, the well known pen maker from Germany to offer a free pen along with the car. The pen too is a limited edition product, which of only 100 will be made.
The exterior design of the car remains quite similar to the regular model, but features the 'Next 100 Years' badging on the outside and "1 of 100" badge just in front of the shifter. The inside also features Merino Smoke White leather upholstery with a 'Next 100 Years' logo on the head rests.
In terms of mechanicals, the BMW Individual 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS come with a choice of three engines. The first, or the top of the range engine option is a 6.6-litre turbocharged V12 motor that produces 602bhp, while the next on offer is a 4.4-litre 444bhp engine, and the last option is a hybrid engine that develops 322bhp.
The German carmaker will start deliveries of the limited edition BMW Individual 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS by the end of this year. Will any of the 100 examples make it to India? Well, time will reveal and there is a possibility.
