BMW 1 Series Sedan Revealed For China, Is it Coming To India?
BMW has unveiled its production-ready 1 Series sedan. At the moment, the BMW 1 Series sedan has been revealed exclusively for the Chinese market. It is unclear if the German automobile manufacturer would be getting the compact sedan to Indian shores as well.
In terms of design, the BMW 1 Series looks very similar to the concept model. BMW showcased the 1 Series compact sedan for the very first time at the Guangzhou Motor Show in 2015. Currently, BMW will be manufacturing and selling the 1 Series only in China.
No information regarding engine options or transmissions has been divulged by BMW. Both petrol and diesel engines are most likely to be included with automatic and manual transmission options. The German manufacturer will be offering three and four-cylinder engine options with their 1 Series compact sedans.
The BMW 1 Series compact sedan will take on the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi A1 models. Mercedes currently offers the CLA in India and is a popular offering. If BMW plans on launching the 1 Series in India, it would make a lot of sense and could also boost sales.
