Volkswagen Polo GT TSI
The Polo is powered by 1.2litre petrol engine with 4-cylinders, which packs a punch with 104bhp at 5,000rpm and a max torque of 175Nm is available from 1,500 to 4,000rpm. This is mated to a 7-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox). It sports an electronic steering wheel for added support.
The Volkswagen Polo GT TSI can go from 0-100kmph in 10.85sec (approx.)

Fiat Abarth Punto
The Abarth Punto is powered by 1.4litre T-Jet petrol engine 4-cylinders, which produces 145bhp at 5,500rpm and 210Nm of torque at the range of 2,000 to 4,000rpm. This is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Abarth Punto will go from 0-100kmph in 8.8sec (approx.)
Fiat Abarth 595
The Abarth 595 is powered by 1.4litre T-Jet petrol engine, 4-cylinders, which punches out 158bhp at 5,500rpm and 230Nm of torque at 3,000rpm on sports mode. The engine is mated to a sequential automated gearbox and steering wheel paddle shift.
The 595 can go from 0-100kmph in 7.4sec flat (approx.).
Skoda Octavia 1.4 & 1.8 TSI
The Octavia is powered by two states of tune, one is of 1.4litre, 4-cylinders, punching out 138bhp at the range of 4,500-6,000rpm and max torque of 250Nm ranging from 1,500-3,500rpm. This is mated to a manual 6-speed gearbox.
The other engine is powered by 1.8litre petrol engine, producing 177bhp at 5,100-6,200rpm and max torque of 250Nm at 1,250-5,000rpm. This is mated to automatic 7-speed DSG Tiptronic transmission.
The Octavia 1.4litre will go from 0-100kmph in 8.4sec (approx.) and the 1.8litre will go 0-100kmph in 7.4sec (approx.).
Fiat Linea 1.4 T-Jet
The Linea is powered by 1.4litre T-Jet petrol engine, 4-cylinders, producing 112bhp at 5,000rpm and 207Nm of torque at 2,200rpm.
The car will go from 0-100kmph in 9.2sec (approx.)
Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 TSI
The Jetta is powered by 1.4litre petrol engine with 4-cylinders, punching out 120bhp at 5,000rpm and torque of 200Nm at 1,500-4,000rpm. This is mated a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The car will go from 0-100kmph in 11.5sec (approx.)
Among these power hungry cars, are the humble Tata's, the company is offering turbocharged petrol engines in their Bolt, Zest and the newly launched Tiago. These are developed for performance in the city are not powerful versions.
Also, Ford EcoSport features a turbocharger in the form of EcoBoost, however, this is more to do with the better performance of the 1-litre engine and get the maximum out of it.
