Autos, Taxis To Go Strike On April 18 In Delhi
oi-Dennis
By Dennis
A section of auto and taxi unions have made a call for a one-day strike in the national capital of Delhi on Monday, April 18, 2016.
The strike called by the 'Delhi Autorickshaw Sangh' and 'Delhi Pradesh Taxi Unions,' will protest against the running of app based cab services like Ola and Uber.
The unions claim that the the app based services are illegal and are robbing them of their livelihood.
The strike could cause great hardship to commuters in Delhi on Monday as the capital city is currently testing the second phase of the Odd-Even Scheme set by the Delhi government of Arvind Kejriwal.
There are currently 13,000 black and yellow taxis and around 81,000 autorickshaws running on the streets of Delhi.
