Audi To Launch An Electric Model Every Year 2018 Onwards
Electric vehicles are the future of mobility around the globe. German luxury car manufacturer, Audi has realised this and has decided to take a step into the future. Audi plans to launch electric vehicles that will take on the likes of Tesla, BMW, and other luxury electric vehicle manufacturers.
Now Audi confirms that it plans on introducing an all-new electric model every year. The German luxury car manufacturer will commence this effort from 2018 onwards. All the electric models will be offered to global markets for maximum sales.
The very first electric model to go on sale by Audi will be an all-electric SUV. Audi will use their e-tron Quattro concept as a base, which was showcased at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show. Eventually, Audi will introduce electric vehicles in other segments as well, to cater to a wider audience.
Audi will continue providing regular fuel options and will not be becoming a complete electric maker. They will focus on introducing electric vehicles all over the world. Focus will also be kept on plug-in hybrids as well as hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles.
