Breathtaking Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Concept Breaks Cover
Aston Martin have teamed up yet again with Italian design house Zagato to unveil the breathtaking Vanquish Zagato Concept.
The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato will make its global debut at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, held at Lake Como in Italy from 21 - 22 May 2016. The Vanquish Zagato is the fifth car made by the two automotive giants tpgether since the DB4 Zagato from the 1960's.
The fully carbon-fibre Vanquish Zagato is powered by a 5.9-litre V12 the produces 591bhp up from the 563bhp output of the normal Vanquish.
Design wise, the Vanquish Zagato is a blend of the best elements of the best of both Aston Martin and Zagato.
The front end of the car is typical Aston with its headlamps and grille. The side mirrors are inspired by the ones found on the Aston Martin One-77 while the the wraparound glass house is another Aston highlight.
The bladed LED taillamps remind you of the Vulcan track-only car while the rear diffusor is reminiscent of the DB 11.
Zagato's trademark design features like the double bubble roof (a highlight of Zagatos since the 1950's) and the rounded rear reflectors.
Inside, the car is a mix of carbon-fibre, anodized bronze and aniline leather. The seats and the door panels feature a 'Z' pattern quilt stitch while the same pattern is embossed on to the headrests. The centre console has the same 'Z' pattern stitched into it as well.
It is not yet known whether, the Vanquish Zagato will enter production.
