Aston Martin, Red Bull To Unveil Hypercar On July 5
British luxury carmaker Aston Martin and Formula One team Red Bull Racing will unveil the AM-RB 001 hypercar on July 5, at Aston Martin's headquarters in Gaydon, England.
The AM-RB 001 is designed by legendary Red Bull Racing and Formula One designer Adrian Newey and the head of Aston Martin design boss Marek Reichman.
The Aston Martin AM-RB 001 is expected to weigh slightly more than a current LMP1 racing car, which tip the scales at 900 kilograms.
The AM-RB 001 is expected to feature a mid-engined layout. The mid-mounted manic engine along with an expected hybrid system are expected to produces 1,000bhp.
This power output combined with the low weight mean that the new Aston should be able to match the company boss Andy Palmer's claim that it "will be faster around Silverstone than a current Formula One car."
Only 99 AM-RB 001s will ever hit the road and the each unit of the ultra-rare hypercar is expected to be priced at £2 - 3 million (Rs. 18.14 - 27.22 crore).
