The two-time MotoGP race winner will be behind the wheel of a Huracan Super Trofeo fielded by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, which is the motorsport department of the manufacturer of Sant'Agata Bolognese.
The Italian veteran will be driving the car number 100 around the track, where he raced a MotoGP machine two weeks back. He has taken part in 258 World GPs, of which 160 in MotoGP. His recent victory was at Sepang International circuit in Malaysia.
The 30-year-old rider also has an unbeaten record of achieving the highest speed reached on the Ricardo Tormo circuit. He posted 335.9 km/h in 2015 with Ducati Desmosedici GP15.
The rider from Forli said, "I'm really happy to have this experience with Lamborghini. This is the first race on one of their cars in such an important championship.
"I've just finished the MotoGP season in Valencia and honestly, I don't know what this track will be like with the four wheels, anyway I can't wait!
"I will be racing for four days, therefore I'm sure I'll enjoy it very much. I have no idea who my opponents will be, but certainly the best ones of the American, Asian and European championships."
Dovizioso with his colleague Casey Stoner has already done some training in the Lamborghini Accademia at Imola last May. Even though he is participating in both the races, he will be transparent in the rankings.
