Maruti Suzuki will be launching the 2017 Swift Dzire next year prior to the launch of the all-new Swift hatchback. The car has been also spotted testing on Indian roads.
Now the rendering images of the 2017 Swift Dzire have landed on the internet. Cartoq have created these rendering based on the spy shots of the car spotted testing earlier.
The front fascia of the next generation Suzuki Swift Sport has been integrated to the rather familiar looking body.
Although the interior has not been revealed up-close in the spy shots, but it is confirmed that the new Swift Dzire will get centre console slightly different from the all-new Swift hatchback.
Some of the other features likely to be stuffed in the top of the line model are - dual airbags, EBD, ABS, alloy wheels, keyless entry with push-button start and automatic climate control.
It will also feature a touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system with navigation, reverse camera and steering mounted controls.
The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire will be based on the Baleno's lightweight platform and the new compact sedan may shed some weight, around 80kg. The new Dzire is expected to be powered by 1.2 liter K-Series petrol and 1.3 liter Fiat Multijet turbocharged diesel engine.
The reduction in weight will result in improved mileage and vehicle dynamics. The diesel version of the compact sedan could be equipped with SHVS mild hybrid technology and it will further improve the mileage of the car.
As per the reports the 2017 Swift Dzire will be launched in festive season of 2017. Swift Dzire will be manufactured in Maruti's new Gujarat plant which will be operational in the first quarter of 2017.
