According to Chinese website AutoHome, the 2017 Jeep Compass will be available in three variants - Sport, Longitude and Limited.
Entry-level model, the Sport will be easy to identify due to its concealed exhaust. Whereas the top-end Limited model will come with dual-tip exhaust. The other features that the entry-level model will miss out on are - panoramic sunroof, roof rails and diamond cut alloy wheels.
The 2017 Jeep Compass is likely to be revealed by end of this month at Fiat Chrysler Automobile's new Pernambuco assembly plant in Brazil. The production will commence before end of this year in China and in Q2 2017 in India.
The 2017 Jeep Compass will be based on the same Small-Wide platform of Jeep Renegade. Compass will be powered by 2-litre, four-cylinder engine, in both diesel and petrol variants. And will be mated with a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic gearbox.
The Indian production of the Compass will take place at FCA-Tata JV facility in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra and also will be exporting units to other right-hand drive markets.
