2017 Dacia Duster In The Works; To Be Extra Spacious
The 2017 Dacia Duster is in the making and will make its debut next year.
Dacia updated the Duster with the new front face, new features and dual-clutch automatic transmission. Yet the competition is so tough that the SUV needs a makeover.
According to reports a new 2017 model is in the works and expected to make its debut around next year. The European model will be launched under Dacia brand and the other markets like India will get the new Duster under Renault badging.
The reports suggests that the second generation model could be switched to the new Common Module Family (CMF) which is found underneath most of the Nissan and Renault vehicles.
With the upgrade to the new CMF platform the new Duster could get longer wheelbase which will result in the inclusion of two more seats.
The technical details on the new Duster is not yet revealed. But in the Brazilian market Renault is likely to offer the existing 1.6-litre and 2-litre engines.
Whereas in the European market Dacia may replace the 1.5-litre dCi engine with the new more efficient 1.6-litre diesel engine. The Indian spec model is also expected to sport the same engines.
