2017 Abarth 595 Gets More Power & Aggressive Design

The 595 Abarth from Fiat Chrysler is their performance packed hatchback model for global markets. Now Fiat has unveiled the updates that will be provided to the 2017-edition of Abarth 595. Abarth is expected to publicly debut 2017 Abarth 595, sometime during 2016-end.

Powering the 2017 Abarth 595 is a 1.4-litre, T-Jet, petrol engine. The engine will produce 144.83 bhp and 206Nm of peak torque. The 595 Turismo will get the same engine and produce 164.94 bhp and 206Nm of torque. Abarth 595 Competizione will develop 177.01bhp and 250Nm of torque.

No other mechanical changes will be carried out on the Abarth 595 model. The 595 Competizione will be receiving a mechanical limited-slip differential. Fiat and Abarth will be increasing the price of its entire range as well owing to the additional power and other updates.

Both front and rear bumpers will be redesigned for a sporty and muscular feel. Overall the entire design language looks more aerodynamic over its predecessor. The alloy wheels get an all-new design offering the vehicle a more menacing look.

Currently, the Abarth 595 hatchback is on offer in the Indian market as well. It is unclear if the Italian-based manufacturer will be bringing the 2017 model to India or not anytime soon. Stay tuned for more updates and information from Abarth in the Indian market.
