By Dennis

The issue occurs due to the secondary hood lock not re-engaging after it has disengaged. This may lead to the hood opening up when the P1 is in motion. One such incident has occured which McLaren have reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

McLaren dealers will replace the currently installed hood latch with a redesigned hood latch starting this month. The fix will take a technician around 30 minutes to install.
