Volvo V40 Launched In India; Price, Specs, Features & More

Volvo India is showcasing tremendous faith in the domestic market and is launching one product after the other. Now on 17th June, 2015 the Swedish manufacturer has launched its premium hatchback V40 in India.

Here is the pricing of V40 hatchback by Volvo India:

• Volvo V40 Kinetic is priced at INR 24,75,000 ex-showroom, Delhi
• Volvo V40 R-Design is priced at INR 27,75,000 ex-showroom, Delhi.

Swedish automobile manufacturer will be offering its V40 hatchback in the country as Completely Built Unit. They will take a call on local assembly in India by the end of 2015.

The Volvo V40 will share its design with V40 Cross Country that was launched in India a few months ago. It is the same vehicle sans body cladding around it available on the crossover.

Volvo is offering only diesel engine currently and a petrol option will be launched later in V40 hatchback for India:

Both variants sport a four cylinder D3, 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, which powers front wheels. It generates 150 horsepower, along with 350 Nm of torque. Volvo will offer both a manual and automatic 6-speed transmission option.
