Volkswagen India To Support International Student Film Competition
German carmaker Volkswagen will support the International Student Film competition, which is part of the Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) that is to take place from 14 to 21 January, 2016.
The Volkswagen International Student Film Competition is organised by the 'Whistling Woods International' institute, Mumbai. Students can participate in two sections, which are 'Live Action' and 'Animation'.
The entries will be judged by a jury panel, and this competition receives entries from film schools from all over the world. Volkswagen will award the participants of Live Action based on Best Film', 'Best Director', 'Best Screenplay', 'Best Cinematographer', and 'Best Audiographer'.
Participants in the Animation category will based on Best Film - India' and for 'Best Film - International' as winners.
The PIFF was started in 2002, and is jointly organised by the Pune Film Foundation and the Government of Maharashtra. The 14th edition of the PIFF will have seven venues including City Pride Kothrud, City Pride Satara Road, City Pride R-Deccan, Mangala multiplex, INOX Camp, National Films Archives of India (Law College Road) in Pune city and two extended venues in PCMC area.
