Volkswagen India Appoint Dr. Andreas Lauermann As President & M.D.
Volkswagen India has appointed a new President and Managing Director. This top personnel change will take effect from 1st July, 2015.
Dr. Andreas Lauermann has been appointed as new President and Managing Director of Volkswagen India Private Limited. He will take over from Mahesh Kodumudi.
Mahesh Kodumudi takes up a bigger role in the German based automotive unit. He moves up to Volkswagen Group of America and will act as an advisor to Volkswagen Group India for the next few months.
Dr. Andreas Lauermann is 53 years old and he has a doctorate degree from University of Passau and Technical University Munich. He started working for Volkswagen AG in 1997 with TCW Tranfer-Centrum in Munich.
He has always been with Volkswagen and has worked in different countries at various positions. His previous assignment was at Volkswagen, Wolfsburg in the area of Central Group Production Strategy and Planning.
