Visteon Corporation Awarded By Nissan For Innovation
Visteon Corporation, a company that supplies automotive parts globally has been awarded ‘Global Innovation Award' from Nissan Motor. This award was handed over at an event held in Yokohama, Japan.
The company was awarded for an integrated 7-inch TFT display instrument cluster with advanced graphics, that is featured in the new 2015 Nissan Murano.
Loick Grislain, the Vice President of Renault-Nissan customer group at Visteon, who accepted the award on behalf of the company said, "We are honored to be recognized by Nissan for this innovative instrument cluster, which represents a 'first" development milestone for both Nissan and Visteon's Japan team."
The TFT cluster made by Visteon, was specified by Nissan to give the driver quick and easy access to vehicle and driving status like maps, weather and speed limit.
The instrument cluster also features turn-by-turn navigation, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) warnings, Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) information management, 3D appliques for analogue gauges and synchronized control of the brightness of display and vehicle information.
