Toyota India Contemplate Launching Compact SUV & Sedan By 2016
Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota is betting high on Indian market. They are planning on introducing a new compact SUV and sedan, which will fall in the sub-four-metre category.
These two new products will not be launched any time soon. Toyota is planning of showcasing these products at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi, India.
Indians are currently showing growing interest in compact SUV and compact sedan segment. Toyota is keen to exploit this segment and need to introduce new products that will entice new buyers to their products.
Both products will be developed in the sub-four-metre category, which will provide the manufacturer with certain benefits. Toyota has already commenced its research on developing their vehicles at an affordable price in India.
Toyota India has now provided any details regarding the powertrain under the hood of their two new vehicles. We believe the Japanese manufacturer could provide the engine that does duty in their existing vehicles.
In terms of design, both these vehicles are expected to be heavily influenced by the European models. We are keen to see both Toyota's compact sedan and compact SUV in India. The manufacturer will also introduce their new Innova and Fortuner at 2016 Auto Expo in India.
