Toyota Camry Hybrid Accounts For 80% Models Sold In India
Toyota Motors India have a wide range of products on offer in the country. They include a mix of hybrid engines, which is not offered by any other manufacturer in Indian market.
Toyota Camry hybrid and Prius are two of their hybrid options that are offered in Indian market. Japanese automobile manufacturer recently updated interior and exterior design of Camry sedan.
Now the Japanese manufacturer has confirmed that they sell almost 80 percent of hybrid version in Camry range. This proves that Indians too are looking at more efficient options and do not mind spending more for better technology.
Takeshi Uchiyamada, Toyota Motor Corporation Chairman, said "Globally India is the 9th country or region to manufacture Toyota hybrid vehicles. After the launch of the all new Camry hybrid in May 2015, the popularity of the Camry Hybrid has only grown further."
He further added, "At present Camry Hybrid constitutes more than 80% of the total Camry sales in India (also sold with gasoline engine), testimony to hybrid's growing acceptance in India."
Japanese automobile manufacturer has introduced several new hybrid models in international market. Witnessing success in India as well could force them to introduce few more hybrid models.
