Top 10 Selling Cars In July 2015
Car sales in July has seen a big change. A few new vehicles were launched and immediately entered the top 10 selling cars list.
One notable car that immediately caught up was the recently launched Honda Jazz.
Many carmakers in this list have posted good growth while some models have seen decline in sales compared to July 2014. One such vehicle is the Honda City.
Some vehicles however, continue to dominate the top spots and battle gets intense among the company itself.
So, let's take a look at the top 10 selling cars in July 2015:
10. Honda Amaze:
At number 10 is the Honda Amaze. Honda has sold 4,589 units of the Amaze in July, compared to 4,507 units sold in July 2014.
9. Honda City:
The Honda City has lost a bit of charm and has slipped down the list. Having sold just 5,180 units this July compared to 7,705 units in 2014, it has taken the 9th spot.
8. Honda Jazz:
The Honda Jazz has now become the best-seller for Honda. Having been launched just recently, it has sold 6,676 units already.
7. Maruti Suzuki Celerio:
At number seven is the Maruti Suzuki Celerio. The hatchback has moved up a notch compared to July 2014, having sold 7,784 units during July this year.
6. Hyundai i20:
Hyundai now makes an appearance with the Elite i20 at the sixth spot. The company has sold 8,098 units this July, having failed to make it to the list itself in 2014.
5. Hyundai Grand i10:
At number five is the Hyundai Grand i10, having sold 8,691 units. A year ago, the Grand i10 was in the sixth spot, having sold 7,023 units.
4. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R:
The top four are dominated by Maruti Suzuki. The Wagon R takes the fourth place having sold 15,540 units. A year ago, the Wagon R held the same place, but sold 11,762 units.
3. Maruti Suzuki Swift:
The Swift too has maintained the same position in the list from last year, only selling more this year compared to 2014. The Swift has sold 18,870 units this July.
2. Maruti Suzuki Alto:
Yes, the Alto is not the best selling car in India anymore. It has lost its title to a sibling. The Alto sold 22,212 units in July 2015.
1. Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire:
The best selling car in India is a compact sedan from Maruti Suzuki—the Swift Dzire. 23.086 units have been sold and the number has only seen an increase over the years.
