Tata Zica Exterior Design Revealed In Fresh & Youthful Avatar
The next big thing from Tata Motors is their compact hatchback, codenamed 'Kite'. Recently, Tata christened this product and revealed to us its name 'Zica'. Now the Indian manufacturer has revealed two clear images of the vehicle showcasing its exterior design.
Zica from Tata Motors surprisingly does not follow the family design language. The compact hatchback looks extremely fresh and youthful. Designers at Tata Motors have done an excellent job with the Zica, which finally breaks away from their traditional body design.
Officials from Tata Motors explain that the name Zica is derived from the words Zippy Car. Previously, glimpses of the hatchback were revealed during the showcase of their new Global Brand Ambassador, Lionel Messi.
Under the hood of Zica will most likely be a 1,005cc three-cylinder diesel and 1,200cc three-cylinder petrol engines. Both engines will be coupled with a manual transmission, however, Tata Motors could offer an optional Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) as well.
The Zica will compete amongst tough competitors in the Indian market. Tata Zica will take on the segment leader Maruti Suzuki Alto and the new kid on block, Renault Kwid. Both products have been well accepted by Indian consumers.
From exterior images of the Zica, we are impressed and are keen to see the interior of the vehicle. Tata Motors is promoting its new products under the tagline 'Made of Great'. A lot is expected from Zica, especially high volume sales in the Indian market.
