Tata Nano GenX Launched: Price, Mileage, Specs & More

Tata Motors has launched the Tata Nano GenX in India today. This will be the world's most affordable AMT for sale in the market.

Tata Motors is now determined to sell the car as a proper hatchback, taking away the ‘World's most affordable car' badge away from it. The new Nano also gets a fully usable boot that can be opened.

• XE: INR 1.99 lakh
• XM: INR 2.29 lakh
• XT: INR 2.49 lakh
• XMA (AMT): INR 2.69 lakh
• XTA (AMT): INR 2.89 lakh

Tata Nano GenX Mileage:

Tata claim the Nano GenX AMT returns a fuel efficiency of 21.9 kpl while the manual version returns 23.6 kpl. The fuel tank too has been made bigger to carry 24 litres of petrol, compared to the older version.

Tata Nano GenX Engine Specification:
The Tata Nano will be powered by the same engine as the models before. It will be powered by a 624cc, twin cylinder petrol engine that develops 38.19 PS at 5500 rpm and 51 Nm of peak torque at 4000 rpm.

Delivering the power to the wheels is either via a 4-speed manual gearbox or through a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
