Tata Motors To Showcase Performance Oriented Bolt At Geneva Motor Show
India's most popular four-wheeler manufacturer, Tata Motors will be present at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. They will be showcasing an array of products at the motor show. The automobile giant will be showcasing a performance oriented hatchback as well.
Tata Motors will display a performance focussed Bolt hatchback at Geneva Motor Show. It is expected to be launched in India by 2015-end, however, it will be marking its global debut in March. It will get several updates that will make it standout from its regular hatchback.
The Performance Bolt will sport a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. It will generate 120 horsepower, along with a significant boost in torque figures as well. Tata will source Fiat C501 gearbox and will mate it to their engine for better performance.
The bumpers will be redesigned to give this new hatchback a more sporty stance. Tata engineers will tweak the suspension to make it stiffer and more stable. The designers are expected to provide sporty looking 17-inch alloy wheels.
Tata Bolt's stance will also be lowered for a more sporty look, the regular hatchback has a higher ground clearance. The hatchback already is sporty, however, the Indian manufacturer plans on boosting sales with a performance oriented pack.
The Indian manufacturer has launched the Zest compact sedan and Bolt hatchback in India recently. Both these products are a step into the future and breakaway from the traditional Tata design. They are more premium and upmarket than previous vehicles from the manufacturer.
