Subaru Patents STI Version Of BRZ In Japan
oi-Dennis
By Dennis
Japan Heavy Industries, the parent company of Subaru, has filed and gotten approval for a patent for a STI version of its BRZ sports car. The patent could mean that a Subaru BRZ STI could be close to heading for production.
Subaru had unveiled a STI Performance Concept based on the BRZ at the New York Auto Show in April this year. The concept produced 350bhp and had the usual concept styling with the pumped up wheel arches as well as side scoops and a big wing on the boot. The images from the patent filing show that not much has changed in STI patent filing either.
