Rolls Royce Wraith ‘Inspired By Music’: Feel The Wraith Of True Sound
Music is probably the purest and most dynamic expression of humankind, and music lovers know how uplifting it is to time out with your favourite artist and forget about the rest of the world as the album progresses.
Since not just you, but millions of others too often feel the exact same way, successful musicians become very, very wealthy. And if there's one thing that unites these superstars, it's their need for fancy rides. But none more so than their love affair with Rolls Royce automobiles, which have been in demand from music's elite ever since Elvis Presley first walked into a showroom and ordered his Phantom V way back in 1961, marking the King's beginning of Rock n' Rolls Royce.
Celebrating this glorious heritage, Rolls Royce has revealed the Wraith ‘Inspired By Music' edition, and it could just be the pinnacle machine for present day rockstars and big-monied audiophiles alike. Any new Rolls Royce obviously creates a lot of buzz, but somehow we're specially drawn to this particular version. Let's see why.
1. Bespoke Audio
This trademarked audio setup in the Wraith has been available to customers since 2013, and combines top-drawer components with the expertise of highly skilled acoustic technicians. Bespoke Audio comes alive in the 'Inspired by Music' Wraith as ‘the most exclusive music venue' and ‘the most exhaustively designed sound system in automotive history', in Rolls Royce speak.
2. The audio system was two years in development!
The Bespoke Audio system for the Inspired by Music edition was designed from the ground up, by who Rolls Royce claim were the world's best automotive audio engineers. The sound system was designed in conjunction with the company's interior designers, to achieve that perfect music experience and ensure the acoustics were ideally suited to the cabin. Apparently, the Roll Royce cabin crew had to consult with the Chief Audio Engineer before making any changes to the interior, such was the priority of the hour!
3. Speaker the truth
The numbers will mute. The setup is an 18-channel, 1,300-watt system that includes two ‘highly powerful' bass speakers, seven tweeters, seven mid-rangers, and two hand-fitted ‘exciter speakers' in the headlining at ear level, that are said to elevate the aural experience even further by mimicking a live setting.
4. Grilled to perfection
Rolls Royce tweaked the speaker grille design of the Wraith for the ‘Inspired by Music' edition, and the result is achingly beautiful, especially when seen against the dark leather in the picture. Designers have engraved ‘Bespoke Audio' into the copper-themed grille, and it sure looks as good as it no doubt sounds.
5. Copper stopper
This is possibly one of the biggest reasons we love this version - you can practically see that it's set up for sound. The special Wraith features the Lyrical Copper exterior paint scheme with a combination of brushed and polished surfaces, a theme that continues into the cabin, with liberal use of copper coloured elements like in the door inserts and dash. You're sure to feel closely connected and practically wired into this coupe, so inviting is the result. Which is why we'll also say the Rolls Royce Wraith ‘Inspired by Music' is easily the most desirable concert seat available in the market today. And it moves...
