Renault Small Car Global Debut In India By May, 2015
Renault India has been working on a small car project for a while now. The French manufacturer is now ready to present it globally in India by May, 2015.
It will be the very first product by Renaut that will mark its global debut in India. Nissan and Renault have worked together on developing an all-new platform called the ‘CMF-A'.
Renault-Nissan Alliance has also worked on developing the engine that will power this small car. It will be a three cylinder 800cc petrol engine that focusses on fuel economy.
Renault will launch its small car in newly emerging markets across the globe. It is surely to be available in India and will be offered in Brazil and South Africa as well.
This small car will share several parts and components between Renault and Datsun's upcoming budget vehicle. We are sure that both vehicles will not look similar as they have dropped the re-badging portfolio.
Datsun is most likely going to introduce this new frugal engine in their Redi-Go model. It will be the most affordable vehicle from the Japanese manufacturer in India.
Renault is most likely to price its new small car competitively and will put it on competition with small car leader Maruti Suzuki. The French manufacturer will provide its small car with several safety features and creature comforts.
