Renault Lodgy Launching Only With Diesel Mills On 9th April
Renault India has commenced booking of its soon to be launched Lodgy MPV. The French manufacturer will be launching this new product in India on 9th April, 2015.
The Lodgy could be launched currently only with a single diesel mill with two tune options. Renault will offer trim level and the initial lot sold will be only the top-spec Lodgy.
Renault engineers will utilise the same engine that powers the Duster. They will continue providing two state of tunes for customers to choose from.
Under the hood of Renault's Lodgy will be the tried and tested 1.5-litre K9K diesel mill. On offer will be a 85 bhp option mated to a 5-speed manual, while a more performance oriented 108 bhp option paired to a 6-speed manual transmission can be chosen.
The French manufacturer is sure to equip its latest MPV with several safety features. The Lodgy will sport ABS with EBD, dual airbags and rear-view camera with parking sensors.
It will be interesting as we believe Renault will be launching its Lodgy in India only in top-spec as of now. We will have to wait and see if the manufacturer offers safety equipment on lower grade models.
The Renault Lodgy will compete in the growing MPV segment. It will have to compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, Nissan Evalia and Toyota's Innova as well.
In terms of pricing we believe this top-spec Lodgy could be priced between INR 11,00,000 to INR 13,50,000 ex-showroom. Stay tuned to our Twitter handle (@drivesparkcom) for more information from the launch.
