Renault Lodgy Commence Bookings In India
Renault India is betting high on its new MPV, the ‘Lodgy' that will be launched in the following month. The French manufacturer has commenced booking of its MPV through it dealerships.
Lodgy can now be booked prior to its launch for INR 50,000 which is completely refundable if the buyer changes his mind later on. Renault takes pride in its new vehicle by saying it performs like a sedan and offers space of a MPV.
The MPV segment in India is catching up soon, more and more manufacturers are entering this segment. Renault will have to duel with tough competitors in this segment.
French manufacturer will offer only diesel engines for its Lodgy. Engineers will provide the same diesel mill that does duty in their compact SUV model, ‘Duster'.
As with the Duster, even Renault's Lodgy diesel engine will be offered in two tune options. The 1.5-litre engine will produce either 83.80 horsepower or 108.45 horsepower. Renault will offer various trim levels for customers to choose from.
Renault's MPV will be available as an optional seven or eight seater model. Customers can choose from regular bench seats or the more premium option of individual seats.
In terms of pricing, we are expecting it to be placed competitively against its competitors. We believe base model will cost INR 8,00,000 while top-end will be priced at INR 12,00,000 ex-showroom.
Lets us know in the comment section, how you think the Lodgy will fare against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, Toyota Innova and Nissan Evalia?
