Ola Rolls Out 2G Network App Enhancement; To Go App Only
Ola, the taxi hailing app will soon go app only and to support this, the company has introduced an app enhancement to support quick downloads while using 2G network.
The company will soon go app only in 100 cities across India. In a statement, the company claimed that 99 percent of the bookings it receives is through the app and so it plans to make this medium the only way to book cabs.
Pranay Jivrajka, the Chief Operating Officer of Ola said, "With 99 percent of our bookings coming through our app today, it is clear that our users prefer the seamless app-experience to any other mode of booking."
"This will allow us to deliver a consistent one-touch booking experience as well as improved ride experience across all aspects like navigation, payments, safety and feedback."
He also added, "Ola Care will continue to be available 24x7 to address customer queries, collect feedback and provide support."
"The 2G enhancements will also allow users in smaller towns and low network areas to access Ola without compromising on speed and ease of access."
