Nissan New X-Trail Expected India Launch During November
Nissan India currently has a limited number of vehicles to offer, but they are planning to expand their portfolio. They are now looking at bringing their full-sized premium SUV to Indian shores.
The Japanese automobile manufacturer had discontinued its X-Trail in India due to poor sales. It was launched back in 2004, when Nissan made its debut in Indian market with X-Trail.
They will now introduce the Nissan X-Trail once again in India as a premium SUV, which is expected to be priced between INR 30,00,000 to INR 35,00,000 ex-showroom.
The 2015 X-Trail will be re-launched in India mostly during festive season, which is November. The new X-Trail launching in India was introduced in international markets back in 2013 by Nissan.
Under the hood of new X-Trail will be a 2.0-litre dCi diesel mill. It will be paired to an optional 6-speed manual or a CVT. No petrol engine will be offered in the India-spec Nissan X-Trail SUV.
In India, Nissan's 2015 X-Trail will compete against the likes of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Ford Endeavour, Hyundai Santa Fe and Toyota Fortuner. Features are expected to be upmarket and class-leading.
