Nissan Lannia Makes Its Debut At 2015 Shanghai Motor Show
Nissan unveiled its all-new Lannia sedan at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. The Japanese manufacturer has confirmed that this model will be targeted to younger buyers. It has also been confirmed that it will not be launching in countries outside China.
The Lannia is developed on Nissan's concept vehicle Friend-Me, which has been showcased at several auto shows. This new model looks unique and may appeal to a few. It has borrowed a few design elements from its concept model.
Nissan has taken the opportunity and showcased its Lannia at 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. The Japanese manufacturer has build this sedan on its Friend-Me concept vehicle. Nissan officials confirm it is a China only model targeted at young buyers.
Lannia has a very unique looking front end, it gets the new Nissan family grille. Headlights also look very attractive and have a sharp design element. Front bumpers are heavily sculpted and is reminiscent of what was available on the concept model.
From the side view Nissan's Lannia surely looks weird. In our opinion it looks like a hatchback that was given a boot. We believe the Lannia would look better as a hatchback. We like how the Japanese engineers have provided a floating roof design. Somehow the sedan looks as if it has been over styled and there were too many designers having different ideas.
Rear end of Lannia looks sleek and streamlined, somehow it looks very simple compared to the front. The rear bumper gets simple styling and there is nothing too fancy here. Tail lights also look simple and elegant, although they do have a slight edgy look.
Nissan has promised to launch its Lannia prior to the end of 2015. This sedan will be launched only in China and there are no plans for global markets. Engine options have also not been announced so far. The Japanese manufacturer promises that the sedan will be feature rich.
