New Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Revealed In Indonesia; India Bound
Maruti Suzuki has a wide range of products on offer in India as well as in other countries. Their product offering starts from compact hatchbacks and goes up to full sized SUVs too.
The new Ertiga has made its debut at the 2015 Indonesia Motor Show and is expected to be launched in India soon. Designers have provided cosmetic changes to both interior and exterior of this MPV.
In terms of engine Maruti Suzuki will not be offering anything new under the hood. The new Ertiga could, however, be tuned to produce slightly more power and fuel efficiency could be improved.
Maruti Suzuki has launched its new Ertiga in Indonesia on 20th of August, 2015. New Ertiga is expected to be launched in India during festive season and prior to year end. It will also be offered in the Thailand market by September, 2015.
Front end of new Ertiga sports an elegant three slat chrome grille, nicely incorporated into the headlight design. Bumpers have been redesigned with better fog lamp design and gets chrome treatment as well. Overall Maruti Suzuki designers have done an excellent job in making the MPV look more elegant.
Side profile of new Ertiga remains unchanged and is expected to be offered in India with a new set of alloy wheels. We would have liked to see some better side styling, however, designers have this time focussed on an elegant and simple design.
Rear end too has not been tampered with too much and gets a redesigned bumper. Chrome applique has been increased and almost touches either sides of the taillamps. The chrome embellishment now sits above the reflectors of the new taillamps.
The interior has also been tweaked with and sports new upholstery. The dashboard in the new Ertiga gets a black and dark brown colour combination. We like this update and it makes the car look more premium than it is. New entertainment options will also be provided in the MPV.
The new Ertiga continues to be a 7-seater and gets 50:50 third row split option, while the second row can be split in 60:40 ratio. Luggage capacity will be increased slightly thanks to the sculpted third row seats.
All in all, Maruti Suzuki has done an excellent job with the new Ertiga MPV. Pricing is expected to be more or less the same for this updated version. We will provide you with more details as it becomes available to us.
