New Honda HR-V Revealed: Crossing Over Segment Boundaries
The latest Honda HR-V has been revealed for 2015, with the company showcasing the new crossover with ‘dynamic styling, the versatility of an MPV, sophisticated-yet-fun driving dynamics and fuel-efficient performance.'
It has to be said that Honda have created a real looker this time around, and the new vehicle blends the dynamism of a coupe with the solid stance of an SUV in its styling, according to the company.
Two engines will be on offer: a 130 PS, 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and a 120 PS, 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel mill, both claimed to deliver impressive responsiveness and fuel efficiency. Both will be available with a six-speed manual transmission, while the petrol gets a CVT automatic gearbox option as well.
The HR-V will feature Honda's Magic Seats system, which will allow for multiple seating configurations. Boot space stands at 453 litres with the rear seats in use, and climbs up to 1026 litres with the rear seats folded away.
The dash gets a 7-inch Honda Connect screen, with smartphone-like functionality and an Android 4.0.4 operating system, that enable internet services like web browsing, social media, internet music, and so on.
The 2015 Honda HR-V promises to be very safe too, with a host of safety features like front and curtain airbags, ACE body construction, and Honda's Advanced Driver Assist system as standard equipment.
Much more balanced than big brother CR-V, we feel. Hurry the HR-V homeward, Honda...
