Mercedes S65 AMG Drop Top Unveiled Before Detroit Debut
Mercedes has unveiled the S65 AMG Cabriolet before its official debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The S65 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 that pushes out 621bhp and 999Nm of Torque. All that power and torque is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic gearbox with three differing drive modes — Manual, Sport and Controlled Efficient.
Mercedes claims that the S65 AMG will match its coupe sibling in the sprint to 100km/h with a time of just 4.1 seconds, despite an overall weight gain of 175 kilograms. Top speed is limited to 249km/h which can be raised to 299km/h.
The fabric roof of the cabriolet will be available in four colours — dark red, dark blue, beige, and black. Mercedes airscarf feature is also present in the S65 AMG Cabriolet.
