Mercedes Benz Recalls Over 10,000 Cars In China Over Airbag Issues
Mercedes-Benz will recall 10.558 car in China over issues with airbags, according to China's quality watchdog - the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
The affected cars are C-class and GLK-class 2008-09 models made between January 12, 2007, and December 30, 2008.
According to China's Xinhua news agency, Mercedes have said that a control unit in the vehicles' airbags may fail to work and the airbags may open even when the cars are not in collisions.
Mercedes-Benz will replace the defective parts free of charge from March 7, 2016.
