Mercedes-Benz To Unveil Self Driving Concept At CES 2015

German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is always coming with new technology to implement in its vehicles. They are at the front runners when it comes to creature comfort in their vehicles.

The next big upcoming show is CES 2015 and Mercedes-Benz would like to show their new products there. Now the German manufacturer has teased us with a silhouette of the soon to be unveiled self-driving concept car.

From what we can see it has a very aerodynamic design to it. This electric vehicle looks like it took inspiration from an egg. It will be a self-driving vehicle and is expected to lower the chance of an accident in the coming future.

It is believed the self-driving technology will be developed on Mercedes-Benz S500 Intelligent Drive system. The system used a 360 degree stereoscopic camera, along with radars placed in the front as well as rear. All the data will be processed and sent to smart computer that will act accordingly.

The German manufacturer had showcased a similar technology in 2014. Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025 was used to demonstrate its self-driving ability on the famous Autobahn highway in Germany.

There is no detail regarding the batteries or material used in construction of this EV. The Consumer Electronics Show will be held in January, 2015 and more details will be unveiled post its reveal. We will provide more details and images as it is made available in the coming days.
