Mercedes-Benz Reveals Its Soon To Be Launched Pickup Truck
German luxury automobile manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz has revealed to us a new vehicle sketch. They have decided to enter the pickup truck segment, which is huge in certain markets.
Mercedes-Benz plans on introducing this pickup truck in Australia, Europe, Latin America and South Africa. The launch date has not been confirmed, however, the manufacturer confirms it will be prior to the end of this decade.
Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Division, expressed, "The Mercedes-Benz pickup will contribute nicely to our global growth targets."
He further added, "We will enter this segment with our distinctive brand identity and all of the vehicle attributes that are typical of the brand with regard to safety, comfort, powertrains, and value."
No details have been provided about the powertrain that will be under the hood of their pickup truck. Mercedes-Benz is most likely to develop an all-new engine that will be capable of towing motor homes, boats and much more.
German designers will draw inspiration for their first pickup truck from their successful passenger vehicles. We would like to see something similar to the sketch that has been provided to us.
