Mercedes-Benz India To Introduce 15 New Dealerships In 2015
German luxury automobile manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz has a strong footing in the Indian market. They had declared 2014 as the ‘Year of Excellence' and for 2015 their motto is ‘Live the Best'. Their aim is to launch several new and interesting products in the fastest growing luxury car market.
Currently in India the three dominant luxury car makers are Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. All three are fighting for top honours in the Indian market. To further increase their sales they need to have more dealerships within the country to reach a wider audience.
Now the German manufacturer has decided to introduce 15 new dealerships in India through 2015. Their focus will be on introducing exclusive dealerships in the Eastern part of India. They will be inaugurating showrooms in tier 2 and tier 3 cities as well for better reach to its clientele.
Mercedes-Benz recently launched their new dealership in Jamshedpur. Tristar Motors is the first dealership inaugurated in 2015 and it is a 3S facility. It was inaugurated by Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India.
As of today the German manufacturer has 69 dealerships in 38 cities of India. They have the best network of showrooms among luxury car makers in the country. Their primary goal is to have 80 showrooms by the end of 2015 in India.
The German manufacturer has also invested more money into its assembly line. Mercedes-Benz believes they need to double their production capacity to cater to the Indian demand. Their facility in Chakan, Pune, is expected to produce 20,000 vehicles in 2015 compared to its initial capacity of 10,000 vehicles.
