Mercedes-Benz India To Launch GLE SUV On 14th October
Mercedes-Benz India will be launching their GLE SUV on the 14th of October 2015. This will be their 13th product to be introduced in the Indian market during 2015. Their goal is to launch 15 products in 2015.
GLE SUV will be offered with two diesel engine options in India. Mercedes-Benz India will provide a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine that delivers 254 horsepower and 620Nm of peak torque.
Customers will have the option of choosing a more modest 2.1-liter four cylinder diesel engine. This engine unit from Mercedes-Benz will offer 201 horsepower and 500Nm of peak torque output.
Previously Mercedes-Benz India was selling their ML-Class, which will be replaced by GLE SUV. The German luxury carmaker is also expected to Introduce AMG powered GLE at a later stage.
Several safety features will be provided by Mercedes-Benz in their GLE SUV. Crosswind Assist and Collision Prevention Assist Plus, DYNAMIC Select, Eco start/stop function and several other standard safety equipment will be offered.
Recently Mercedes-Benz India launched their Maybach products in the country. Surprisingly the car has already been sold out, owing to an overwhelming pre-booking of the vehicle by customers.
The German manufacturer also promises to further improve localization of products in India. Mercedes-Benz has their facility set up in Chakan, Pune which is capable of producing all the luxury vehicles.
Post the launch of Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV in India, only two products will be pending. We expect the German manufacturer to introduce their AMG GT sports car in the country to set the benchmark among performance vehicles.
