Mercedes-Benz Hire BMW Vice President Sajjad Khan
Sajjad Khan, the Vice President of BMW who was the brains behind BMW Connected Drive program has now been hired by Mercedes-Benz. To top it off, Daimler said Khan had started since March itself.
Khan previously did work with Daimler Chrysler in 2001. He was in the infotainment and materials purchasing field, before moving to Magna in 2007 and then to work with BMW Group in 2011.
Khan, was in charge of making cars intelligent, which will help drivers with decisions about which route to take or where to find parking, with the help of the internet.
BMWs Connected Drive technology can also check timings of public transport, to tell the driver the fastest way to get to a point, if he switched the mode of transport.
From another perspective, technology such as this is very valuable for developing autonomous cars.
