Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² Production Confirmed
German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has confirmed production of the G500 4×4² SUV. It will replace the the 6×6's place, and will be priced at 226,100 euros in Germany.
The Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² was first unveiled during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and now, finally gets the green signal for production.
Powering this extremely capable off-roader is a 4.0-litre, V8 that produces 422 hp and 610 Nm of torque. The engine also features internally mounted twin turbos, which makes the engine smaller and more efficient.
Additionally, to tackle off-road terrain to the maximum, it is equipped with are its portal axles, that give 45 cm — 24 cm more ground clearance compared to a regular G500. This also allows the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² to wade through up to 1 meter of water. In off-roading terms, that's serious!
