Mercedes-Benz CLS & E 400 Cabriolet Launch Confirmed For 25th March
Mercedes-Benz will be launching their CLS and E 400 cabriolet in India tomorrow on the 25th of March, 2015. The German manufacturer has scheduled 15 new product launches in India for 2015.
The new generation of both CLS and E cabriolet models is expected to cement Mercedes brand image in India. They will be offered in India through the Completely Built Unit route.
Mercedes-Benz CLS Engine Specifications:
- Engine: 2.1-litre, four cylinder diesel mill.
- Horsepower: 267
- Torque: 500 Nm
- Transmission: 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Mercedes-Benz E 400 Cabriolet Engine Specifications:
- Engine: 3.0-litre, V6 twin turbo
- Horsepower: 333
- Torque: 480 Nm
- Transmission: 9-speed automatic gearbox.
German engineers will provide the CLS with a similar front grille like the new A Class hatchback. The stylish coupe will sport Mercedes-Benz new LED headlights with camera control for better road visibility.
The E 400 Cabriolet will sport similar design and technology as current generation E Class India. Main attraction will be the electric soft top, it will also be offered only as a two door variant.
In terms of pricing expect the E 400 Cabriolet to be priced significantly higher than its E Class siblings that are locally assembled. Mercedes Benz CLS is expected with a price tag of approximately INR 95,00,000 ex-showroom.
